The Dynamo Juniors Program is designed to introduce swimmers to the concept of year-round swimming.

The Dynamo Juniors Program provides monthly participation.

Juniors registration starts in August and while you can register at any time during the year it does have a set amount of spaces. The number of spaces available will be listed on the registration page. If there are no spaces available there will be a request waitlist add to cart button. You will be contacted when a space becomes available.

Upon placement, your child will be carried over automatically to the following month’s roster, and your account will be billed via our automatic billing system on the 1st day of each month until you submit a withdrawal request. Dynamo Juniors Questions: Heidi Turcotte (heidi@dynamoswimclub.com)

DYNAMO JUNIORS PROGRAM LEVEL DESCRIPTIONS

GUPPY
The goal for this level is to provide the swimmer with increased swimming exposure and confidence. Practice for this level will focus on refining freestyle and backstroke techniques as well as continuing to develop the advanced disciplines of breaststroke & butterfly. There will be an emphasis on kicking, stroke drills, proper breathing, proper body position, and streamlining.

Age: 5-8 years old
Class time: 30 minutes

Requirements: Minimum ability to swim one length of the pool unassisted and demonstrating proper technique in both freestyle (with rotary breathing) and backstroke (with proper head/body positioning). There must also be a basic understanding of the concepts of both breaststroke and butterfly.

Practices: 1-2 days/week.
Practice Options: M-Th (Alpharetta & Chamblee), Tu/Th (Oakhurst)

SEAHORSE
The goal of this level is to provide the basic fundamentals of all four competitive strokes. Practice for this level is focused on the refining technique of all four swimming disciplines with an emphasis on: kicking, stroke drills, rotary breathing, starts, proper body position, and streamlining.

Age: 7-8 years old
Class time: 45 minutes

Requirements: Minimum ability to swim one length of the pool unassisted and demonstrating proper technique in both freestyle (with rotary breathing and bi-lateral breathing) and backstroke (with proper head/body positioning). There must also be a strong understanding of the concepts of both breaststroke and butterfly.

Practices: 1-2 days/week.
Practice Options: M-Th (Alpharetta & Chamblee), Tu/Th (Oakhurst)

DOLPHIN
The goal of this level is to provide stroke refinement, endurance training, and an introduction to flip-turns and starts. This level reinforces the fundamentals of all four competitive strokes and builds on swimming techniques with increased cardiovascular conditioning.

Age: 8-11 years old
Class time: 45 minutes

Requirements: Minimum ability to swim one length of the pool unassisted in all four disciplines. Freestyle must be done with bilateral breathing, backstroke with proper head/body position, and there must be legal butterfly and/or breaststroke.

Practices: 1-2 days/week
Practice Options: M-Th (Alpharetta & Chamblee), Tu/Th (Oakhurst)

SHARKS
The goal of this level is to provide stroke refinement, endurance training, and proper execution of flip-turns and starts. This level reinforces the fundamentals of all four competitive strokes and builds on swimming techniques with increased cardiovascular conditioning.

Age: 11 and over
Class time: 60 minutes

Requirements: Minimum ability to swim multiple lengths of the pool unassisted in all four disciplines. This group continues to emphasize stroke techniques while improving aerobic conditioning.

Practices: 1-2 days/week
Practice time: Tu/Th (Chamblee & Oakhurst) M-Th (Alpharetta)

The Dynamo Juniors Program provides monthly participation for swimmers. Upon placement, your child will be carried over automatically to the following month’s roster, and your account will be billed via our automatic billing system.

  • Rates are per month. Tuition is a straight monthly fee.
  • Tuition will be pro-rated for extended holidays. The tuition reflects an average of all months. There is no additional charge fee for months with 5 weeks.
  • Tuition is due on the first day of each month. Payment is completed online only (we do not accept cash or check for the Juniors program). Once you have registered, you will be set up for automatic bill payment, and you will be automatically billed the associated CC on first of each month. You can change your CC and billing information via your Dynamo account.
  • Tuition not received by the 10th of each month will result in a $10 late fee.

Registration Fee:

*Please note: There is an additional annual (non-refundable) registration fee of $60 per child for the program. Program and registration fees are due at the time of registration by credit card. Session Fees are handled exclusively through the online system as well.

Monthly Class Fees for Chamblee, Alpharetta and Oakhurst

  • Guppy: $100 for 1x per week or $180 for 2x per week
  • Seahorse: $110 for 1x per week or $200 for 2x per week (Only offered at Chamblee)
  • Dolphin: $110 for 1x per week or $200 for 2x per week (Only offered at Chamblee and Alpharetta)
  • Sharks: $120 for 1x per week or $220 for 2x per week

Dynamo Junior Absentee & Make-up Policy

  • There are no refunds for missed classes.

Dynamo Junior Holiday Policy

  • ALL Dynamo Juniors & Dynamo Swim School Classes will be closed for Thanksgiving Break, Winter Break, and Spring Break in accordance with Dekalb/Gwinnett /Alpharetta County Public Schools calendars.

Withdrawal Policy
The Dynamo Juniors Program requires that withdrawal requests be submitted by the 20th day of the month. Upon placement, your child will continue to swim in the same practice group, and they be carried over automatically to the following month’s roll. Your account will be billed on the 1st of each month via our automatic billing system (using the credit card you provide online at the time of registration).

A swimmer is not withdrawn from the program until both the coach and the site administrator has received an email notification of the departure 10 days prior to the next invoice posting date, which always falls on the 1st of the month. Without this email notification being received by the program administrator, billing will not be stopped or refunded. Please do not rely on a coach to relay this type of information to the billing department; it is the member’s responsibility to contact who handles team billing at your facility, with a request to suspend a swimmer.
