Ashley (Daly) Morgan swam with Dynamo Swim Club at the Mountain Park pool from 1997–2002. During that time, she became an Olympic Trials finalist in the 200 IM before continuing her swimming career at Stanford University.

After graduating from Stanford, Ashley joined Teach For America and taught middle school in the Bronx. She then spent a year backpacking through Asia and Africa before attending law school at the University of Michigan. Following law school, she practiced at a law firm in New York City for two and a half years.

Ashley and her husband Ryan (who is also an attorney) moved to Denver in 2014. She continued in private practice until 2016, when she joined the Denver District Attorney’s Office. She has now been with the office for 10 years and currently serves as a Trial Chief specializing in homicide, sexual assault, and human trafficking cases.

Ashley and Ryan met playing ultimate frisbee. Both have won national championships on their respective teams as well as world titles on teams together, and they have traveled extensively competing internationally in ultimate frisbee.

They have two children, Rhett, 9, and Daly, 7. Rhett enjoys basketball and football and recently started swimming, specializing in breaststroke like his mom. Daly love math, and also recently started swimming and swam the 100 IM for the first time at her most recent meet; backstroke is currently her favorite stroke.

As a family, the Morgans enjoy skiing, mountain biking, hiking, traveling, and spending time outdoors. They are planning a trip to Japan this fall and recently added a golden mountain dog named Bangarang to the family.

Ashley recently competed at Masters Nationals, where she won six events and set a National Record in the Women’s 40–44 100 Individual Medley with a time of 56.3. Her swim was also the fastest women’s 100 IM time at the meet across all age groups. Other swims included a 1:04.22 in the 100 Breaststroke, a 50.8 in the 100 Freestyle, and a 23.55 in the 50 Freestyle.

At the meet, Ashley was able to reconnect with fellow Dynamo alumni Brendan Forbes and Amy Atteberry. She has also remained close with other Dynamo alumni over the years, including Katherine Bell, Natanya Harper and her former Dynamo coach Hugh Convery (who now coaches at GAGA).

Ashley wishes her children could swim for Dynamo as well, but unfortunately the commute from Denver would be a little too difficult.
