Congratulations to 10 & Under Metro Swimmers!
The 10 & under Metro Championships were host by Stingrays on Saturday, March 29th. This meet was different from years past in that 10 & under swimmers had their own special session. Another twist added to the meet was to have the girls and boys compete in separate sessions.
This meet was very well attended by Dynamo swimmers and the coaches were really excited about the outcome. Numerous best times and heat wins were achieved by the youngsters. This bodes very well for our future in the Age Group Program.
Swimmers and families also really seemed to enjoy the different format. Sessions ran fairly quickly and many enjoyed racing same sex competition. Dynamo staff and swimmers look forward to competing in this meet once again next season. Congratulations to all involved! Results
Dynamo Swimmers Compete Successfully at Age Group Sectionals
Dynamo sent more than 40 swimmers to Charlotte, NC this past weekend to compete in the 2008 Age Group Sectional Championships hosted by High Point Swim Club. The Dynamo Age Groupers finished 3rd overall and competed very well throughout the weekend posting many lifetime bests and scoring swims.
There were several Individual Champions during the meet from Dynamo. Allen Browning won the 13-14 boys 100y Back (meet record time of 51.93), 200y Back (meet record time of 1:51.92), 100y Fly, 200y Fly, and 200y IM. Lusya Mazourenko was the 11-12 girls 1000y Freestyle champion, while Haley Durmer added an individual title in the 13-14 girls 1650y Freestyle.
There were also numerous Top 8 and Consolation Finalists. They are:

Metro Divisional Loaded with Great Swims and Weather
On March 14-16, Dynamo competed in the Metro Divisional Championships held at the Mountain View Aquatic Center. This was a great way to end the short course season, with 11-12`s, 13-14`s, and 15-18`s all competing together at the same meet. Many state qualifying times were made as were multiple best times. Add in the weather distractions all-in-all a great meet. The depth that is developing in many of our age groups was definitely evident at this meet, particularly 11-12 girls and 13-14 boys.
