Jason Turcotte
Head Coach, Dynamo Swim Club
Jason Turcotte joined the Dynamo organization September, 2006 as the club`s 8th head coach. Jason coaches the SR1 Group at Chamblee, as well as the development and direction of Dynamo Swim Club and its programs. He will oversee both swim facilities, Alpharetta & Chamblee and their respective programs. Coach Turcotte has previously coached at the Lake Erie Silver Dolphins, Stanford University, Assistant Coach, and most recently as the Head Coach of the Naperville Riptide Swim Team. He has experience coaching the Olympic elite athlete as well as developing age grouper swimmer. He has been touted as one of the `best young coaches in the country`.

Rich Murphy
Lead Coach, Alpharetta Facility
Rich Murphy comes to Dynamo Swim Club from Auburn University where Rich was an assistant coach for the Tigers during the 2006-2007 season. Auburn University was Men`s & Women`s Southeastern Conference Champions and NCAA National Champions for the 2006-2007 season.
Prior to Auburn, Rich spent the 2005-2006 season at Bowling Green State University as women’s assistant coach. At BGSU, Rich assisted the Falcons to a 4th place finish in the Mid-American Conference championships – their highest finish in the last three seasons. During Rich`s time in Ohio, he also volunteered with the University of Michigan men`s team and Club Wolverine`s High Performance group.
Rich is very familiar with club coaching and looks to leverage that expertise with our club. From 2001 to 2005, Rich was at Arizona State University. While at ASU, Rich was Head Coach of Sun Devil Aquatics from 2003 to 2005 – a Gold Medal Club as recognized by USA Swimming, at the time. During Rich`s last season with the club, he coached two athletes who were number 1 in the USA in their events (3 events overall) for their age group, he coached a Mexican National Record, and he had athletes set 3 individual Arizona State Records. On a whole during Rich`s time with Sun Devil (2001 to 2005), he had athletes achieve 2004 Olympic Trials qualification, over 50 Top 16 list-making times, plus 9 individual and 12 relay Arizona State Records. At ASU, Rich was a Graduate Assistant Swim Coach for Arizona State during the 2002-2003 season (NCAA finish: Women – 11th, Men – 10th) and Volunteer Assistant Coach for the Sun Devils during the 2001-2002 season (NCAA finish: Women – 10th, Men – 14th). Rich is an American Swim Coaches Association Level 5 certified coach (Top 3% of coaches nationally) and is a World Swim Coaches Association Member. Rich has also coached at Palo Alto Stanford Aquatics (formerly Palo Alto Swim Club) and at Los Altos Mountain View Aquatic Club.

Beth Winkowski
Lead Coach, Chamblee Facility
Coach Beth began coaching at Dynamo in the fall of 2004. She is responsible for the Senior 2 swimmers as well as the development and direction of the Chamblee Staff. Prior to Dynamo she was the Head Coach for 12 years at Portland Aquatic Club in Portland, Oregon where she began her professional coaching career. Beth has coached state, sectional, and zone champions at an individual and team level. She also assisted several swimmers in earning National Top 16 rankings, Junior and Senior National qualifying times.
Coach Beth’s coaching strengths include: detailed and analytic stroke instruction with an eye towards body awareness, a creative and demanding training regime, and good communication with parents and athletes. She accomplishes all this while recognizing the athlete as a whole person who benefits from the permanent life lessons learned by children who participate in organized athletics.

Natanya Harper
Natanya joined the Dynamo coaching staff in the Fall of 2007. Natanya began her swimming career at Dynamo where she swam for nearly 10 years. Her accomplishments include being named a Scholastic All-American, breaking a Dynamo record, being Top 16 in the nation, and making Junior National time standards. In high school, Natanya competed for Dunwoody High School where she won High School State in the 50 free her senior year, won every event she swam at County every year, broke 3 school records, and received the Coca-Cola Award for excellence in the pool and classroom. Natanya went on to swim on scholarship for Geogia Tech where she broke the school record in the 50 free, 200 medley relay, 400 free relay, and 200 free relay. She was part of Tech women’s first ever medal winning relay at ACCs, served as a campus rec advisory board representative, was presented with the All-American and Iron Jacket awards in the weight room, and graduated with highest honors. Natanya has represented the USA at the 2005 and 2006 Maccabi games in Israel and Australia where she won a total of 7 gold medals. Last summer Natanya coached the Atlanta Maccabi team who won a total of 19 gold medals in Houston. She has also coached the Dunwoody Country Club and Zaban Sharks summer league teams for 3 and 2 years, respectively. This past Summer Natanya coached and swam for the first ever Dunwoody Adult Summer League team, which went on to win the League Championship.

Sue Kelly
Sue joined the Dynamo coaching staff in the fall of 2003. Sue began her swimming career as an AUU swimmer at age 11. In high school, since there was not a girl’s team, she swam on the boy’s high school swim team and won the 500 free and was 2nd in the 200 free as a freshman-sophomore division. She attended UC Davis and majored in physiology. Sue took up triathlons her last year at Davis and soon turned professional. She has competed internationally and was 2nd place woman at the 1987 Canadian Ironman.
After the birth of her 4 children, she took up running competitively joining the Atlanta Track Club. She has won the Atlanta 1/2 Marathon several times and was named Atlanta "Athlete of the Year," in 1999. In 2000, Sue qualified for and competed in the Olympic Trials in the marathon. She continues to compete in running and her current goals include qualifying for the Olympic Marathon Trials in 2008.
Sue has been married for 18 years to Drew, has resided in Atlanta for 16 yrs, has 4 children ages 11-16 – who all currently compete for Dynamo. She started her coaching career as a summer league coach at Echo Ridge and in four years brought them from a team of 80 swimmers and a 9th place county finish to 160 swimmers and 1st place at county. Sue coaches Senior 3 and Age Group 3 at Chamblee.

Ben Rae
Ben started coaching in 1999 as an assistant coach for DART (Dixie Aquatic Racing Team) and for the three St. George, UT Area high schools, the team he swam for when younger. During that time, he coached a Men’s High School State Championship team in 2000. After 3 years, he moved to Provo to continue his education at Brigham Young University and began coaching for the BYU Women’s Swimming Team. He spent 1 year as a volunteer assistant and 2 years as the Strength and Sprint Coach. During that time, the BYU Women’s team won the Mountain West Conference Championship twice. At the beginning of 2005, Ben decided it was time to diversify his experience by returning to club coaching with Utah Valley Aquatics and taking the head coaching position at Springville High School.
Ben received his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from BYU in 2003 and is currently working to finish his Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology (Thesis remaining), also from BYU. In addition to school, Ben has become certified in many other areas related to swimming. He is an ASCA level 2 coach (Level 3 Education and Experience completed), Professional CPR and First Aid Certified; he also has his Lifeguarding and Water Safety Instructor certifications and has completed the Aquatic Facility Operator certification.
Ben’s wife’s name is Jill and they have a daughter named Jenna, and a son Westley. Ben enjoys all kinds of athletics as well as camping, fishing, reading, landscaping, and spending time with his family. Ben coaches Age Group 2 at Chamblee, as well as being responsible for the Green and Gold program.

Emily Santowski
Emily Santowski began Working at Dynamo in 2000 where as a swim lesson instructor. While attending college, Emily coached Green and Gold groups during the 2002-2003 season. Emily recently graduated form North Georgia College and State University with her Bachelors degree in Special Education. She is currently working at Alpharetta High School, where she teaches children with Autism. She is also Head Coach of Alpharetta High School`s swim team. During the summer Emily also, coaches her local neighborhood swim team. Emily is currently working with Gold and Age Group Development.

Gary Taylor
Coach Gary joined Dynamo Swim Club this fall 2005 via relocation from Minneapolis, MN. He is responsible for the Age Group 1 and Gold groups at the Alpharetta location. Gary switches to Alpharetta after spending two years coaching at Chamblee. Prior to Dynamo, Gary has 6 years of coaching experience working with the Twin Cities Swim Team as the lead site coach in Minnetonka, MN. During this time, Coach Gary has experience working with beginners, age groupers, seniors, and Masters swimmers. He has had the opportunity to coach USA and Minnesota high school state champions, USA and Minnesota high school state record holders, Junior National qualifiers, high school All-Americans, Minnesota Masters record holders, and Masters National top 10 performers. Under Gary’s guidance the Twin Cities-Minnetonka branch more than doubled in size to 160+ registered swimmers, while the new Masters program successfully grew to 30+ swimmers in only a couple of years.
Coach Gary is a proud graduate of Minnetonka High School and earned his B.S. in Sports Management from the University of Minnesota. He was a member of both schools swim teams, and while on the squad was fortunate enough to be apart of several high school and Big Ten Championship teams. Coach Gary has also earned his ASCA Level 3 rating and continues to gain knowledge in the sport of swimming through coaching and education.

Nancy Williams
Nancy Williams joined the Dynamo coaching staff in the 2004-2005 season as the Senior III Coach at the Alpharetta Facility, and coaches Age Group 2 and Senior 3, as well as morning masters at Alpharetta. Nancy, a native of Georgia, started swimming at a very young age through high school. Nancy attended Lenior-Rhyne College in Hickory, NC on a softball scholarship. Coach Williams studied physical education & athletic training. She received a graduate assistantship as an athletic trainer at the University of Mississippi while taking graduate studies in Exercise Science. She entered the coaching world in 1999 in Jackson, MS with the Sunkist Swim Team for 2 1/2 years and also coached for Swim Atlanta for 2 1/2 more years. Coach Williams has performed duties as an assistant coach, head age group coach, masters coach, as well as start up programs & clinics. Nancy is the Alpharetta Masters coaches for the Monday, Wednesday & Friday Group at 8:30/9:00 am.

Beau Caldwell
Beau joined the Dynamo staff in October 2007 to oversee the Green and Age Group Developmental squads at Alpharetta. Beau grew up in Columbus, Ohio, and swam competitively for the Upper Arlington Swim Club and Upper Arlington High School teams. Beau continued his swimming career at Clarion University of Pennsylvania where he earned a bachelors degree in social studies education and NCAA All-American honors. Beau went on to earn his master’s degree in secondary education at West Chester University of Pennsylvania where he was an assistant swimming coach for two seasons and oversaw the team’s recruiting. Beau has spent the past 4 summers as a swim camp counselor at the Longhorn Swim Camp in Austin, Texas. Beau enjoys traveling in his spare time.
