The 2007 National Select Camps will be held October 11-14 at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. For the first time the Boys` and Girls` National Select Camps will be held at the Training Center on the same weekend. The Head Coach for the girls` camp is Pete Morgan from the Curl-Burke Swim Club in Virginia. The boys` Head Coach is Roric Fink from the Tucson Ford Dealers Aquatics in Arizona. The Head Manager for the girls is 2000 Olympian Maddy Crippen. Eric Fucito from the Berkeley Aquatic Club in New Jersey is the Head Manager for the boys` camp. The assistant coaches for the girls` camp are John Bitter (Santa Clara Swim Club), Jeff Hiestand (Green Terror Aquatic Club) and Andy Nieman (Mission Aurora Colorado Swimming). Rounding out the boys` camp are assistants Franz Resseguie (El Dorado Aquatics Club), Steve Brown (Sarasota YMCA Sharks) and Rich Murphy (Dynamo Swim Club). The athletes were selected based on their performances this past summer. |
