Joining Dynamo
Competitive Team
 All interested in becoming a new Dynamo swimmer are asked to attend an evaluation at one of our facilities.  During that evaluation, a member of our staff will observe the swimmer performing all four strokes, talk the swimmer through the registration process, and make an appropriate group placement within Dynamo.  If interested in joining at the Chamblee Facility, please contact Coach Amanda Howard at 770-457-7946 @ ext. 13.  If interested in our Alpharetta facility, please contact Coach Ben Rae at 770-772-6007 @ ext. 17.  Group evaluations for new swimmers are scheduled in the Spring and Summer, while individual evaluations are conducted other times of the year.  Evaluation Schedule
Swim School/Lessons
 All interested participants in the Dynamo Swim School Lessons can schedule lessons through the Swim School Website: www.dynamoswimschool.com.
Dynamo Juniors Program
 All interested in our non-competitive Dynamo Juniors Program also are asked to do an evaluation.  The Juniors Program is only offered at the Chamblee location, and the groups meet twice a week for 6 week sessions.  More Information
Home School Program
 Dynamo offers a Home School Program at both the Chamblee and Alpharetta locations. The group is designed for home school students who want to be involved in year-round swimming. The home school group will focus on technique and skill development. The group generally will practice in the 2-3 pm time slot and will expand with demand. These swimmers will be registered members of Dynamo and USA Swimming and will be eligible to swim in Dynamo swim meets.. If you have any additional questions, want information, or to help publicize the group, please contact Coach Amanda or Coach Ben.  Home school swimmers are asked to attend one of the evaluations and register through the website. 

 2010-2011 MEMBERSHIP FINANCIAL MATTERS
Since your child is swimming for the Dynamo Swim Club, you are a member of the Dynamo Parents’ Club, Inc.  As such, you need to be aware of various financial commitments that come with your membership. Therefore, we request that you carefully read the following. If you have any questions, please call Edie Wunderlich at 770-457-7946 @ ext. 10.
REGISTRATION FEE
Each swimmer must pay an annual non-refundable registration fee of $185 through online registration on the Dynamo website. Returning swimmers are asked to register by June 1, 2010 to secure their spot on the roster. New swimmer registration will begin on June 2, 2010. This registration fee covers the cost of USA Swimming/Georgia Swimming Registration, “Splash” magazine, team t-shirts (except for the end of season championship t-shirts), as well as hospitality for our meet officials. Swimmers will not be allowed to begin practice until the registration fees are received. 
DUES
The 2010-2011 swim year runs from August 16, 2010 to August 15, 2011. The dues payment schedule is as follows:
1. Nine (9) monthly payments: The first month’s payment will be billed on July 21st for the August invoice, and the remaining 8 months billed October 2010 through May 2011 The remaining eight (8) payments are due the first of each month, starting October 1. Invoices are produced and posted online on the 21st of each month and are due on the 1st day of the following month.  Payment is considered late after the 10th day of the month, and a $25.00 late fee may be assessed on any account for non-payment or for payment of an incorrect lesser amount.  Late fees will not be reversed.  Invoices are posted each month of the swim year even though monthly dues may not be due and payable as meet entry fees and other charges may occur during any given month during the swim year, which fees and charges are due and payable on the 1stday of the month following the posting date on the 21st day of the previous month. Those members who join after the start of the season will be billed for June and/or July, until 9 monthly payments are paid.

Financial Notes
1.     The registration fee is non-refundable. 
2.      Dues are paid for an entire month if a swimmer is registered during any part of the month. Dynamo does not pro-rate months.  A swimmer is not withdrawn from the program until the club has received written notification of the departure in the Chamblee office 30 days prior to the next invoice posting date, which always falls on the 21st of the month. In order to ensure that you pay for only one month after your decision to withdraw from the club, Edie must receive the written withdrawal notification no later than the 21st day of the month in which you plan to withdraw. Without written notification (email or US Mail), billing will not be stopped or refunded. Please do not rely on coaches to relay this type of information; contact Edie in the Dynamo Office. Her email address is edie@dynamoswimclub.com. 
3.      Swimmers will not be allowed to participate in the Dynamo program if their financial obligations to the club are more than 30-days delinquent, unless alternative arrangements have been made.

ENTRY FUND
Dynamo no longer keeps a separate meet entry account for each family/account.  All meet entry fees and other fees are posted to your account and will show up on your monthly bill.  Please read your bills and make sure you are paying the correct amount, as paying an incorrect amount could trigger a late fee.  For each meet a swimmer signs up to attend, a $3 fee is charged to the swimmer’s account. This $3 meet fee covers Dynamo’s administrative and club costs at each meet. This fee will not be reversed if a swimmer fails to attend a meet for which s/he signed up to attend.
VOLUNTEERISM
Volunteering is an essential part of Dynamo. Volunteers are necessary in key positions to work at Dynamo hosted meets. The Dynamo Swim Club requires that parents of each swimmer volunteer to work one to three sessions of each Dynamo hosted swim meet in which their child is entered. (There may be situations in which you are called upon to volunteer for a meet in which your child is not entered). It is understood that you will work the entire session in which you are assigned, or you are responsible for finding a replacement to complete your assignment.  Each family is expected to work 16 hours for the 2010-2011 swim year or be financially penalized.  Volunteer sign-up is easy and convenient. When registration for a meet opens on the website, you also will be able to volunteer for jobs at the same time you commit your swimmers to the meets. Dynamo is hosting the 2010 USA Swimming Short-Course Junior Nationals in December of 2010 and asks that each family work at least one 4 hour shift for that meet as part of their 16 hours for the year.
Credit for volunteering is only given for Dynamo Hosted Meets.  If you time or volunteer in any other manner at a meet hosted by another team, that time will not be credited against your 16 hour Dynamo obligation. 
 TEAM DUES 2010-2011
 *** A 10% discount for all annual dues paid in full by September 1, 2010 (annually paid fees are non-refundable).  Contact Edie when paying annually.  You must still pay the registration and first month deposit initially, then the yearly balance is due by September 1st. 
*** Multi-Swimmer discounts are applied from most expensive swimmer to least expensive swimmer as follows:
•    2nd swimmer=10% off
•    3rd swimmer=20% off
•    4th swimmer=30% off
•    5th swimmer and above = free
