LIFEGUARD TRAINING AND CPR CLASSES

The Dynamo Swim Center located on 5075 Abbotts Bridge Rd. in Alpharetta or 3119 Shallowford Rd. in Chamblee offers American Red Cross Lifeguard Training, CPR (adult, infant, child & AED) and First Aid certification classes. To enroll in Lifeguard Training the participant must be at least 15 years old and be able to show proof of age. The participant must pass a precourse evaluation held during the first class before continuing in the class. This evaluation will include swimming 300 yards continuously using freestyle with rhythmic breathing and a propellant kick and swimming breaststroke. Additionally, the participant must swim 20 yards using freestyle or breaststroke, perform a surface dive to 7-10 feet, retrieve a 10lb. object from the bottom, return to the surface and swim 20 yards back to the starting point with the 10lb. object (holding the object with both hands and keeping your face above water) and exit the pool (without the use of a ladder) in less then 1:40.
 
To enroll you must register in person at the corresponding facility and full payment is due at the time of registration. Registration and payment must be submitted at least one week prior to the class start date to ensure enrollment. ENROLLMENT FEES ARE NON REFUNDABLE-STUDENTS NEED TO BE ABLE TO PASS THE PRECOURSE EVALUATION (please practice the above skills prior to attending).     
 
-minimum enrollment of 10 participants is needed for each class, participants must attend
 all classes and be on time for each class. No makeup classes/sessions are offered.

Dynamo Pool Management is accepting applications for lifeguards, head lifeguards, swim lesson instructors and supervisors. We need to fill positions for our summer pool management (outdoor) pools, summer lesson programs (outdoor) and for our (year round) indoor facilities. Lifeguard Training, lifeguard apparel and/or lesson certification reimbursement is offered to those who are hired by Dynamo.
